The PD140N is a handheld metal detector that combines maximum reliability and ergonomic design with the latest detection criteria and user signaling features.
Key features of this new device include effective detection of all metals, full compliance with the latest security standards, and high immunity to external metallic masses.

The PD140N features a specially designed ergonomic grip. The offset handle ensures that the operators hand does not interfere with the sensitive detection surface. Special care has been taken in the mechanical design of the detector. There are no sharp corners or edges, ensuring the detector can be smoothly guided over the inspection area without snagging on buttons, buckles, folds, or other items.

The control panel with switches and warning lights is made of high-strength silicone and guarantees a high protection level for indoor and outdoor use of the PD140N.

The technical features of the metal detector comply with NIJ Standard 0602.02 and the draft of the new NIJ Standard 0602.03. The PD140N offers consistent sensitivity to magnetic and non-magnetic objects, including stainless steel. At the same time, it provides excellent compensation for body effects and ensures high immunity to external electromagnetic and mechanical interference.

The PD140N metal detector can be powered by two 1.5 V AA or LR6 alkaline batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries, offering over 100 hours of operation. A power-saving feature is automatically activated during idle times, extending battery life up to 200 hours. An internal circuit optimizes the charging process, which takes less than five hours.

The PD140N is a fully digital device. Its electronic functions include a transmitter-receiver detection field based on digital signal processing (DSP) technology, a digital user interface, and an integrated USB port for external communication. This design, combined with a specially printed antenna coil, ensures excellent reliability and very high reproducibility even under varying environmental conditions.

For extended durability, the PD140N handheld metal detector housing is made from next-generation technical polymers. High chemical resistance and mechanical shock resistance allow for reliable operation under the harshest conditions.
