The high brightness version of the Cyalume® ChemLight® glow stick is activated by a bend in the middle. Hold the glow stick with both hands according to the illustration on the packaging and apply pressure to the center with both thumbs, bending the outer ends of the glow stick slightly until a "snap" is heard.
